WHO IS LILA KAY?
Lila Kay is an actor, writer, mover, deviser, and candid storyteller. She is currently pursuing her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Contemporary Theater at The Boston Conservatory at Berklee College of Music. Originally from Washington, DC, she started her acting training at Duke Ellington School Of The Arts. She is a jack of all trades in the acting world, having studied Shakespeare in Oxford, England, experimental theater in Berlin, Germany, and Greek theater in Athens, Greece. Lila incorporates elements of physical theater, acrobatics, comedy, and old fashioned storytelling into her work. She aims to tell serious stories through a comedic lens. Lila has a passion for shining a light on the dirt under our finger nails, giving voice to the voiceless in society, and strives to put that into the work she does. She believes that laughter is truly the best medicine and is crucial, especially in today's age. Lila started devising when she attended the Boston Conservatory at Berklee College of Music, in Boston, Massachusetts, where she learned to build new work from the ground up. She interned with Liars and Believers, a Cambridge, MA theater company, and developed and performed a commissioned devised theater piece for the Cambridge Arts River Festival in Cambridge, MA in June, 2025. Lila loves to explore all the different forms and containers for the arts that exist or perhaps are yet to exist.
